Baingan Slices (Brinjal Fry)
What Is Brinjal Fry..?
brinjal fry recipe | baingan fry | fried eggplant. a tasty accompaniment for dal rice or sambar rice and can also be extended to roti or chapati too. it is an quick and easy side dish prepared with purple brinjal or eggplant coated with spiced and shallow / pan fried till crisp. these spices coated brinjal fry recipe, can also be served as starters or perhaps as evening snack.
1.5 tbsp Gram flour (besan)
1/2 tbsp Red chilli powder
1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
1/4 tbsp Garlic powder
1/4 tbsp Garam Masala
1/4 tbsp Dry mango powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tbsp Salt
Oil for frying
In a bowl take gram flour (besan) add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, garlic powder, dry mango powder, salt and give it a good mix.
Now take a brinjal (baingan) and cut it in slices.
Then coat all the slices well in the prepared masala. Make sure that all the slices are coated well.
Then keep the slices at rest for about 5 minutes so that all the flavours of masala is soaked.
Now place the pan on the stove and apply little oil.
Places slices on it and apply oil at the sides and top of the slices.
Cook for 2-3 minutes or till the side turns golden.
Flip and again cook till the other side turns golden.
Tasty Brinjal Fry / Baingan Slices is ready to serve.
