Besan Ke Laddu (Gramflour Sweet)
What Is Besan Laddu..?
Laddu or laddoo or avinsh is a sphere-shaped sweet originating from the Indian subcontinent. Laddus are primarily made from flour, fat (ghee/butter/oil) and sugar. Laddus are often made of gram flour but can also be made with semolina or chickpea flour.Sometimes ingredients such as chopped nuts and/or dried raisins are also added. The type of ingredients used may vary by recipe.
Laddus are often served during festive or religious occasions.
Besan ke Laddu or Besan Ladoo is a popular Indian sweet made from gram flour, powdered sugar and clarified butter (ghee).
These round sweet balls are made by roasting the gram flour and ghee together, and then adding sugar to make a thick pasty dough that is then formed into delicious, melt-in-your-mouth balls.
3 tbsp Ghee
1 bowl Gram flour
1 bowl Sugar syrup
In a saucepan add ghee and gram flour and mix well. Again add little ghee in it and mix.
Stir continuously on low flame and till the color of besan (gram flour) changes to golden brown.
Then add cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off the flame and cool it. Continuously stir for 2-3 minutes.
Then add sugar syrup (shakkar ka bura) in it and combine well.
After mixing well make small balls (laddus) from the mixture.
Tasty Besan Laddu is ready.
