Chocolate Coconut Barfi
What Is Barfi..?
Barfi is a dense milk-based sweet from the Indian subcontinent, and a type of mithai. The main ingredients of plain barfi is include condensed milk and sugar. The ingredients are cooked in a vessel until the mixture solidifies.
The sweet is easily adapted for casual occasions to the most formal event. Different types of barfi vary in their colour and texture.
2 cups Dessicated Coconut
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Milk
1 cup Cream
1.5 tbsp Coco powder
Pistachios for garnishing
Ina a pan take dessicated coconut and roast it for about 2 minutes.
Then add sugar and mix. Add milk and mix well. Mix till it combines well.
Then add cream and mix.
Cook till the mixture starts to separate the pan. Then turn off the flame and let it come to room temperature.
Then take half of the mixture in a greased plate and set it properly. Let it cool for about 2-3 minutes.
Now in rest of the mixture add coco powder and mix well.
Then place the coco mixture on the white mixture and set it properly.
Now let it cool and keep it for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes cut it into pieces and and place pistachios on it.
Tasty Chocolate Coconut barfi is ready to serve.
