What Is Coconut Milk Peda..?

Coconut Milk Peda is a delicately flavored coconut sweet made with milk solids. Made with just five simple ingredients, this recipe for milk peda is undoubtedly going to please many taste buds. In addition to that, it’s incredibly delicious, super nutty and a perfect way to satisfy your sweet cravings!! 

The word peda is also generically used to mean a sphere of any doughy substance such as flour or khoa. Variant spellings and names for the dessert include pedha, penda (in Gujarati) and pera.

Ingredients -

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 1 cup Dessicated Coconut

  • 1 cup Milk powder

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar

  • Almonds

  • Saffron strands

Instructions -

  • In a pan take milk and add dessicated coconut in it and mix well.

  • Stir it continuously on medium flame. Stir for 2-3 minutes.

  • Then add milk powder and mix. Stir continuously. Turn off the flame when it starts to leave the pan.

  • Then transfer to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature.

  • After cool down add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and mix well.

  • Then make lemon size balls (peda).

  • If balls (peda) are not forming then add more dessicated coconut.

  • After making peda coat or cover then with dessicated coconut.

  • Garnish by placing almonds on few and saffron stands on few. Coconut Milk Pedas are ready to serve.
