Makhana Kheer (Fox Nut Pudding)
What Is Makhana Kheer..?
Mahane ki Kheer is an Indian milk pudding of foxnuts slowly stewed in milk and sweetened with sugar or jaggery.
Kheer, Payasa, Payasam is a type of pudding from the Indian subcontinent, made by boiling milk, sugar, and rice. It is typically served during a meal or as a dessert.
1 tbsp Ghee
2 cups Makhana (fox nuts)
1.5 cup Milk (full fat)
1 cup Sugar
In a pan take ghee and add fox nuts. Roast it for 3-4 minutes. Roast till it turns little crispy and then transfer into a plate.
Now cut them in pieces (neither too small nor too big).
Now in a pan take full fat milk and let it come to oil.
After came to boil add the roasted chopped makhana (fox nuts) to it.
Stir it continuously till the milk thickens.
Then add sugar and mix well.
After that add almonds. cashew, pistachio and saffron milk and mix.
Tasty Navratri Sweet dish is ready to serve.
