What Is Paratha..?
A paratha is a flatbread native to the Indian subcontinent, where wheat is the traditional staple. Paratha is an amalgamation of the words parat and atta, which literally means layers of cooked dough.
A unique and healthy stuffed flatbread recipe made with mixed vegetables, paneer and wheat flour. It is a filling paratha recipe and has flavours of all vegetables, making it an ideal lunch box recipe. It can be eaten as it is without any side dish, but tastes great with pickle or raita. Indian recipes mainly deal with rice or flatbreads as the main dish for lunch and dinner.
1 cup Wheat flour
Salt to taste (1 tbsp)
2 tbsp Oil
Water for kneading dough
1/2 cup Carrot
1/2 cup Onion
1 cup Cabbage
1 tsp Ginger paste
1 tbsp Red chilli powder
Ghee (clarified butter)
Take wheat flour, oil, salt in a bowl and mix well. Then add water to it and knead into a dough. Grease the dough with oil and keep it at rest for 5 minutes.
For stuffing in a bowl take chopped onion, green chillies, carrot, cabbage, ginger paste and mix well.
Now take a small ball size dough and roll it. Now sprinkle some salt, red chilli powder and place prepared stuffing and mix.
Now cover it well and again roll it with less pressure.
Heat pan and apply ghee and place the paratha on it. Flip and roast well.
Apply ghee both sides and roast well from both sides.
Tasty and healthy Mix Veg Paratha is ready.
