Poha Cutlet (Flatten Rice Recipe)
What Is Poha Cutlet..?
Poha cutlet is a fried breaded cutlet or patties recipe which is made from beaten rice or aka poha with mashed potato and ideal party starter or kids snack recipe and it can be easily extended as patties for burger or sandwich recipes.
There are several variation to simple vegetable cutlet recipe and it can be prepared with bread, corn, mixed vegetables and paneer. In this recipe, poha or beaten rice is used as main ingredient which later pan fried till golden crisp. It can be great appetizer for your next potluck and can also be extended as burger patties too.
1 bowl soaked flatten rice (poha)
1 boiled Potato (mashed)
2 green chillies (chopped)
1/2 cup Cabbage (chopped)
1/2 cup Carrot (chopped)
1/2 cup Onion (chopped)
1/2 cup Bell pepper (chopped)
Chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tbsp Cumin powder
1/ 2 tbsp Dry Mango powder
1/4 tbsp Carom seeds
Salt to taste (1 tbsp)
1 tbsp Chilli flakes
1 tbsp Lemon juice
In a mixing bowl take soaked poha and boiled mashed potato and mash them properly.
Then take chopped green chillies, chopped cabbage, chopped carrot, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, cumin powder, dry mango powder, carom seeds, chopped coriander, chilli flakes and salt and combine them all properly.
Then add lemon juice and mix well.
After mixing make cutlet or patties with oil greased fingers.
Then fry them oil till they turn golden in color.
Tasty Poha Cutlet is ready to serve.
