Rajma Cutlet (Kidney beans Cutlets)
What Is Rajma Cutlet..?
Rajma Cutlet is made with the combination of red kidney beans, potatoes and the spices which make this cutlet, a super nutritious snack. This is a perfect way ti try something new with the usual rajma.
Cutlets are made with a variety of ingredients. The most popular and basic one being the potato cutlet or aloo tikki as we call it. There are a wide variety of vegetarian cutlet we can make with ingredients like paneer, rajma, raw banana, spinach, soya keema, mixed vegetables, dals, beetroot and the list is endless.
Flavoured with spice powders, a generous amount of coriander and mint leaves and of course some green chilies to turn up the heat in your cutlets.
1 bowl Kidney beans (boiled)
2 Potatoes (boiled and peeled)
2 Green Chillies
1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds powder
Salt to taste (1.5 tbsp)
1/2 tbsp Red Chilli powder
1/4 tbsp Garam Masala
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1/2 cup Semolina
1.5 tbsp Gram flour
Oil for frying
Heat oil for frying.
In a bowl take boiled rajma (kidney beans), boiled and peeled potatoes, green chillies, chopped coriander, cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste, garam masala, lemon juice, semolina (suji), gram flour (besan) and mix well.
Make a soft dough.
Then grease hands with oil and start making cutlet.
Add cutlet in the oil and fry. Fry on low flame.
Fry till it turns golden. Then remove it on a oil soaking paper.
Serve tasty Rajma Cutlet with coriander chutney and tomato sauce.
