What Is Samosa..?
Samosa is a popular snack originally from Central Asia. It is famous in the Indian subcontinent. It is generally prepared in the shape of a triangle, however, the shape and sizes tend to vary from region to region. It can be either baked or fried and has an outer hard crust made of plain flour. It usually has a filling of potatoes and spices. It is usually eaten with a spicy sauce called chutney.
Today I am going to make tasty Samosa Rolls with very simple method. I got this idea when on a rainy day children wanted to eat spring rolls and I tried to make this new recipe. I hope you would like this recipe and do try and share.
1 cup All purpose flour
1/2 cup Wheat flour
1 tbsp Carom seeds
2 tbsp Oil
2 boiled, mashed Potatoes
1 cup Onion (chopped)
2 green chillies (chopped)
1/2 cup boiled Peas
Salt to taste (1 tbsp)
1/2 tbsp Chaat masala
1/4 tbsp Garam Masala
1 tbsp Lemon juice
Oil for frying
In a bowl take all purpose flour (maida), what flour, carom seeds, oil and mix. Then add water and knead a dough.
For stuffing, take boiled and mashed potatoes, chopped onion, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander, boiled peas, salt, chaat masala, garam masala, lemon juice and mix well.
Now grease finger with oil and make small balls.
Now take a ball of dough and roll it. Then cut the edges of it. Also cut from the center.
Then place a stuffing ball at one end and roll it. Then insert a toothpick in the center.
Heat oil for frying. When oil is ready to fr add the samosa rolls in it. Flip and fry properly. Fry till it turns golden and becomes crispy.
Tasty Samosa Rolls is ready.
